It is a true universal NVR that can record video from all the major analogue transmission formats up to in full 1080p, and also from IP cameras with resolutions up to 5MP. Also be safe in the knowledge that the recorded data is safe and secure on the excellently reliable Western Digital Purple hard drive.
The advanced analytical motion detection feature incorporated upon the Quattro’s system will pick up movement of wide varying sensitivity and notify you even when you are away from the device. Will this be compatible with old analogue cameras (420TVL and 600TVL), I'm just looking to upgrade a dvr on a system for now ?
We cannot guarantee compatibility with these cameras due to the age of them i'm afraid.
Firstly you will need to login to the unit , go to System -> Digital -> Channel type, then select the configuaration that supporst IP. An IP camera is then connected to this unit via it's RJ45 (lan port) using a network switch or POE switch.
Does it have any application for windows?
There is currently no support for Windows phones for our range of units i'm afraid.
Will this camera work on the analogue only dvrs and is there a 2.8 mm varifocal version available
These will work on analogue DVRs.
There is not 2.8mm version i'm afraid.
Is this camera fixed-lens or varifocal? The web page describes it as "3.6mm Fixed Lens", but in the description tab I read "Lens: 2.8-12mm Varifocal".
This is a varifocal camera.
Request DVR for this Camara & two external camera
Any DVR that supports TVI will be suitable for these cameras such as the Pioneer Quattro.
